A new painting “ From Mad Max’s to Fairhaven “ . I’ve been looking for different angles and views of the coast around Fairhaven/ Aireys and this image comes to my mind as you travel along the Great Ocean Road towards the beach. The iconic Mad Max house would be situated in the intersection of the creek,rolling hills and beach and is a hidden landmark that has changed over the years but just like the movie , is part of the culture of the area. This is a painting for good friends Anna and John. They’ve just had their house renovated by renovation reality show Design Down Under appearing on Amazon Prime,Discovery+ and on Qantas flights. The production team asked me if I could paint them an image of one of their favorite places as a surprise gift for the end of the show. They came and filmed me at work so I’ll end up with a small part on the show doing my thing. The filming wrapped up this week with Anna And John very happy with the renovation and painting. It’s “Waterfall at Porepunkah” 100cm x 80 cm Acrylic on canvas.
